Two people have died and several have been injured when a car drove through a crowd in the eastern German city of Leipzig.

The incident took place on a street that leads into the city's main shopping area. Several ambulances, paramedics and police cars were all seen at the scene.
Local police said the driver, who is a 33-year-old German national, has been arrested, but the authorities have not yet said what they think motivated them.
