It’s time for a Toyota off-road head-to-head!
We’ve got our hands on the all-new Toyota Hilux, and it’s going up against the Toyota Land Cruiser in a series of off-road challenges!
The question is, which of these off-road legends will perform the best? Let’s take a closer look at the stats…
Starting with the Toyota Hilux, it’s powered by a 2.8-litre 4-cylinder diesel which produces 204hp and 500Nm. It has a locking rear differential, low- and high-range modes, as well as multi-terrain driving options. It weighs in at least 2,175kg.
As for the Land Cruiser, it’s also powered by a 2.8-litre 4-cylinder, and the power output is (unsurprisingly) identical, coming in at 204hp and 500Nm. However, while it may have off-road tech and features like the Hilux, not only is it heavier (at 2,335kg), but it’s also only on road tyres!
So, will it be a clean sweep for the Hilux given the tyre choice? Let us know which you'd choose in the comments!
