Mat’s got his hands on a Gunter Werks F-26, and it might be one of his favourite cars he’s reviewed in 2026!
It’s based on a Porsche 911 993, but the similarities pretty much end at the use of the 993’s steel chassis! So what’s changed? Let’s take a closer look…
In terms of the design, the old steel panels have been removed and replaced with carbon fibre! Up front, there’s a load of carbon aero, including huge vents in the front bumper and a large scoop in the bonnet. Along the side, there are magnesium wheels and wider tyres, and the air intake at the rear wheel arches has been widened. Around the back there’s an absolutely massive wing, and the taillight design has been updated. All in all, it looks absolutely magnificent from the outside.
And the story is similar inside! There’s carbon used throughout the interior, although some of the traditional functionality and features have been kept, such as the original dials. The cabin is well built, with a few smart features such as rope pull door handles and flashes of gold throughout, such as around the drive mode selector on the steering wheel. The seats are also super comfortable, and come in a two-tone design to help it stand out further.
The 993’s original 3.6-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six has had a full reworking, and it’s now a 4-litre twin-turbo! It comes with three driving modes - Comfort mode with 550hp, Sport mode with 650hp, and Track mode with 850hp. All power is sent to the rear wheels only via a six-speed manual.
A fully kitted-out Gunther Werks Turbo comes at a cost of £1,700,000. So do you think it’s worth it? Let us know in the comments!
