Who’s ready for a V10 showdown?!
We’ve got Mat in the Mk4 Viper ACR, and he’s going head-to-head against Nick in the E60 M5!
However, the Viper has a trick up its sleeve - it’s had a slight tune applied to it! But will it make much of a difference? Let’s check out the stats…
Starting with the Dodge, it’s powered by an 8.4-litre naturally aspirated V10 that usually produces 608hp and 760Nm. However, following the tune, it now produces 650hp and 800Nm! This power is sent to the rear wheels only via a 6-speed manual, and it tips the scales at 1,533kg. All-in, the car is worth around £130,000.
Then we come to the BMW. Unlike the Viper, it’s had no mods added to it, which means its 5-litre V10 produces 507hp and 520Nm, with this power being sent to the rear wheels only via a 7-speed auto gearbox. It’s also the heavier car of the two, weighing in at 1,755kg.
