Yuri Ushakov said the American president was ready to work towards a 'rapid end' to the fighting - ahead of next week's Nato summit in Turkey.
The Kremlin aide also accused Kyiv and its European allies of trying to prolong the war, pointing to Ukraine's long-range strikes on Russian oil facilities.
