Trump says Iran will ‘pay the price’ as peace deal still out of reach

Donald Trump says Iran keeps playing them for “suckers” after Iran retaliated against US attacks, which were themselves a retaliation, with attempted strikes on US bases in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan.

In a bid to assist peace talks between Iran and the US, Qatar has sent a negotiating team to Tehran. They are there reportedly in consultation with the US.
It comes as Trump threatened to “hit” Iran “very hard” if a peace deal is not secured.
