Former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom was denied entry to Game 3 of the WNBA Finals at State Farm Arena on October 21, after refusing an offer to watch from a private suite. Arena officials stated the private box was provided for his safety following previous altercations, including a clash with Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud in August, as Freedom continues to push for eligibility to enter the WNBA Draft under current guidelines for transgender players.
