In an awkward moment, Mitch McConnell was interrupted by a staffer when he tried to end Pete Hegseth's senate hearing too early. Robert Karem corrected McConnell in order to let him know that other senators still had questions at which point McConnell gave the floor to Senator Murkowski to take over. President Trump was enraged by exchange and posted on Truth Social that Karem should be "immediately fired" for making "Mitch look foolish."
