Were the Menahune Real? Uncovering Hawaii's Ancient 'Hobbit' Race
Forensic geologist Scott Walter’s Hawaiian vacation turns into an archaeological investigation when he stumbles upon the ancient legend of the Menahune. Known as a mythical race of tiny people responsible for building massive stone structures, Walter seeks to separate fact from folklore. He examines the controversial Homo floresiensis "hobbit" skull from Indonesia, explores the legendary Menahune Ditch on Kauaʻi, and gains exclusive access to the sacred, former bombing site of Kahoʻolawe. Join him on a quest to determine if the Menahune were small in physical stature, a lower class of ancient Polynesian people, or an entirely different civilization that arrived on the islands thousands of years ago.
