Step into a 2,400-year-old mystery: the chilling Iron Age burial of a woman found bound, face down, and wearing a broken lead collar in Britain. Was it murder, ritual, or sacrifice?
This documentary unravels one of archaeology’s most haunting cases: the discovery of a lone Iron Age woman buried in a desolate Northamptonshire field. Archaeologist Andy Chapman and a team of specialists examine every detail, piecing together her age, lifestyle, and possible cause of death using forensic bone analysis and historical context.
Was she a witch, a revered elder, or a ritual sacrifice to Celtic gods in desperate times? The video dives deep into Iron Age burial rites, the significance of the torque, and competing theories about her fate. Watch as experts reconstruct ancient metalworking, debate religious customs, and challenge sensationalist headlines, ultimately suggesting she may have been a respected grandmother honored - or sacrificed - by her community.
