The Forgotten Lives That Built Western Canada.

What began as a stop during the East Coast Expedition became a deeply personal documentary about immigration, hardship, family, and the lives that helped build the Canadian prairies. Many, if not most of these historical homesteads have been abandoned now, as larger farms take over, leaving hundreds of old farm houses sitting forgotten in the fields of Saskatchewan. As for the Porter Family Farm and homestead, things are still going strong today, and I hope the family will keep things going for generations to come.
