On Wednesday, April 22nd, a United States Senate committee hearing was held to discuss the 2027 Department of Health and Human Services budget. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock began pushing against the rabies division staff cuts on the CDC. RFK Jr. responded by saying "There are 1-3 rabies cases a year in the United States — I think one person manning that office full-time probably can handle that traffic.”
