Partial curfews have been imposed tonight in two areas of central Paris and several cities across northern France.

A separate ban on gatherings has been in force in the southern city of Marseille.
The French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu said the measures were necessary to protect people and businesses - declaring the country would "not be dictated and ruled by the thieves and by the thugs".
The protest comes at a time when the borrowing costs for France have soared beyond that of any other G7 country adding to the economic woes and the debt-to-GDP ratio for the country sits at nearly 120%.
