In this video, we head to Milan to find out everything you need to know about the 2027 Dacia Striker. The new Striker has a chunky, 4x4-inspired stance with distinctive T-shaped LED headlights, practical roof rails and plenty of plastic cladding. But it's not a pure SUV – its sleek roofline and extended wheelbase mean it's also a rival to estate cars like the Skoda Octavia.
Under the bonnet, there's a choice between two electrified powertrains: the front-wheel-drive Hybrid 155 (which claims to run on electric power for up to 80% of city journeys), and the clever Hybrid 150 4x4, which pairs a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a rear electric motor and five driving modes for better off-road capability.
Inside, the Striker's interior is packed with Dacia's signature simplicity and clever features. We try out the new 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and the innovative head-up driver's display. We also find out how practical this new Dacia is by jumping into the rear seats and taking a look at the 600-litre boot with its modular, wipe-clean floor and hands-free tailgate.
Finally, we run you through the trim levels – from the budget-friendly Essential trim to the more generously equipped Extreme – and discuss why the expected sub-£25,000 starting price could make the Dacia Striker the ultimate family car bargain.
