Kyle Chandler chats with ET's Deidre Behar at the premiere of 'Lanterns,' which debuts Sunday, Aug.16 on HBO and HBO Max. The actor, who took home a Primetime Emmy for his role as Coach Eric Taylor on 'Friday Night Lights,' reacts to the series coming back for a reboot. Kyle gives it his blessing, and says he wishes the team all his best. As for a making a cameo, Kyle jokes he'd be happy to be a background player selling soda and hot dogs. For now, Kyle's focused on 'Lanterns,' where he plays iconic superhero Hal Jordan, one of the Green Lanterns. Kyle gushes over working with Aaron Pierre, who plays fellow Green Lantern John Stewart, and explains how they developed such strong chemistry. Kyle admits, being in the DCU wasn't always on his bucket list, but after reading the script with his wife, Kathryn, and daughter, Sydney, they knew it was a role he had to play. Kyle also beams over Sydney's success and the rarity of sharing the DCU experience. Sydney voices Nosferata in the animated superhero series 'Creature Commandos.'
