Four Corners has obtained footage of a childcare worker on a violent spree in a small childcare centre.
CCTV cameras recorded childcare worker Edwina Ling inflicting 82 assaults on three young boys at Injinoo Childcare Centre in far north Queensland.
The assaults occurred over three days in August and September 2024. Fifty-five were inflicted on a 13-month-old boy.
A week passed between the day of the final assaults and the day the centre told the child's parents about the abuse.
In June, Ling pleaded guilty to 80 counts of common assault and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.
She was sentenced to four years in prison, but will be eligible for parole after serving 12 months.
Four Corners is prohibited by law from revealing the identity of the family, however, they have decided to share their story with Four Corners reporter Adele Ferguson in hopes it will bring about change.
