Dolly Parton never had kids of her own, but she always said that gave her the blessing of being everyone's Dolly Mama.
It was a responsibility she very much took to heart — creating the Dollywood Foundation in 1988, launching the Imagination Library and gifting over 300 million books to kids worldwide, offering college scholarships to students in Sevier County, donating $1 million to coronavirus research in 2020, helping her community through multiple natural disasters and ultimately giving away millions of dollars to various causes throughout her life.
Dolly's legacy of giving back is right up there with her cultural legacy.
