New monkey species discovered in forests of DR Congo
A new species of monkeys has been discovered in the forests of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Colobus congoensis were found in Lomami National Park. They have distinct orange lips and pale markings around its mouth.
Conservationists first spotted the animal back in 2008 and then sent out a team to find the species ten years later.
Although these monkeys are new to scientists, locals are already familiar and refer to them as Likweli.
