This is the new Ford Mustang GTD Competition – and it’s the result of the Corvette ZR1X besting the standard Mustang GTD’s Nürburgring lap time by 3 seconds. Irked by a 1250hp ‘Vette going faster around the ‘Ring, Ford has upped the power and downforce on the GTD, and cut weight, to shave 12 seconds from its time and once again be the fastest American production car at the Green Hell.
