Some days you just don't care. You're tired, you're busy, maybe you've got a lot going on and getting dressed is the last thing you feel like dealing with.
But you still have to get dressed. And on those days, most people's outfits fall apart. Not because they don't have style, but because they're relying on motivation to get dressed well. But motivation isn't always there.
After 15+ years in menswear, I have a system for this. And the first shift it requires is changing what you're optimizing for. Most men focus on their best outfits (The ceiling). But what actually matters more is how you look on your worst days (The floor). Because that's what people actually see most of the time.
If your wardrobe is set up right, getting dressed on your worst days is basically automatic. Most guys think they need more options. What they actually need are fewer, better ones.
