US Sends Blunt Message to Iran: 'We Will Immediately Respond With Force'
The United States accused Iran of using flights into Houthi-controlled Yemen to transfer Revolutionary Guard personnel and military expertise, including drone and missile specialists. Speaking before the U.N. Security Council, U.S. Deputy Ambassador Tammy Bruce alleged the flights violated international restrictions and warned that Washington would respond with force if Iran attacked ships. Iran's actions and alleged support for Houthi maritime attacks have increased tensions in the region, while Russia urged restraint and defended one flight as humanitarian.
