After running over Kangaroo Jack on the road, Louis (Anthony Anderson) and Charlie (Jerry O'Connell) think it's dead but when Kangaroo Jack wakes up he fights Louis (Anthony Anderson) and Charlie (Jerry O'Connell) then steals their money.

But speeding down a dusty road in the Aussie wilderness, the pair's jeep hits a kangaroo. Thinking the seemingly lifeless animal looks like a friend back home, Louis puts his lucky red jacket on the kangaroo to snap a photo. But the kangaroo bounces away--with the $50,000 in the jacket--and the New Yorkers begin a madcap chase across the Outback to catch the roo, get the money and save their lives.
