My name is Terrence Johnson, and I live in the Dallas–Fort Worth area of Texas. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Science and Information Systems from the University of Texas at Arlington. I also have a master’s degree and an MBA from Texas Western University. I have been working in the IT industry for a little over 20 years. I began my career in IT support, then moved into service support and consulting roles. Currently, I work heavily in the cloud SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) space, managing both on-premises infrastructure environments such as VMware and Broadcom.
Over the past few years, I’ve seen how significantly AI has started to impact the technology industry. Many organizations are placing a strong emphasis on AI, and it’s becoming a major pillar in how technology solutions are developed and deployed. That shift made me realize that I needed to become more familiar with AI and its applications.
My main motivation was to enhance my day-to-day skill set and better understand the technology shaping the future of the industry. I wanted to learn how AI could integrate with my existing experience in infrastructure and reliability engineering while also opening up new opportunities for innovation.
I conducted online research and reviewed several different programs.
