CD Projekt RED has confirmed that, regardless of what happens with physical media on consoles, The Witcher 4 will have some kind of physical release. Sony has already announced plans to stop physical media production on first-party titles in 2028, leading many to speculate that the PS6 will be completely digital, a move that will effectively kill physical media for games. Even if The Witcher 4, which is due out sometime in 2028, won't have a disc, CD Projekt RED would still want collectors to have something physical. In related news, Sony is doubling down on their all-digital future, arguing in court that gamers do not have any reasonable expectation of owning their digital purchases from the PlayStation Network. And finally, Sony is airing another State of Play showcase tomorrow at 6am Pacific.
