Growing appetite for EVs stokes calls for road user charge | 7.30

This week the federal government's four-month cut to the fuel excise ended. The cost of fuel is one of the reasons consumers are buying electric vehicles in record numbers.
But the shift is threatening to undermine billions of dollars of revenue, stoking calls for a nationwide road user charge.
