Many people only know Sarajevo from history textbooks.  Bosnia and Herzegovina might not get the same travel hype as its Balkan Peninsula neighbors, but let me show you why you should visit. On this trip, we will explore the city's heavy past, however there is so much more to Sarajevo's identity. From epic sunsets at the Yellow Fortress to the seamless blend of East and West, the charming magic of Bascarsija, mysterious ruins from the 1984 Winter Olympics, and endless local food, it instantly became one of our favorite destinations. Even though we packed for a mild spring getaway, Sarajevo threw us a twist that made this the most unforgettable trip of our year. Let's spend the next four days exploring this criminally underrated European capital.
