Vance Claims “Almost None” of America’s Wars in His Lifetime Were Won Before Trump
Vice President Vance defended the Trump administration’s approach to the U.S. military, arguing that the armed forces need a broader cultural shift under Pete Hegseth. Vance said, “America has fought a lot of wars since I’ve been alive. 42 years. And we have won almost none of them until Donald J. Trump became president of the United States.” He argued that the record raised questions about military leadership and political decision-making over the past four decades, while saying the Trump administration is working to restore a stronger “warrior spirit” within the military.
