Sony's first State of Play livestream since announcing the end of physical disc production went about as well as one might expect. The livestream was for the Sony-published Phantom Blade Zero, and in a gutsy move, comments were left on for both the YouTube and Twitch streams. The chat was filled with comments like 'No Disc No Buy' and similar sentiment from gamers still upset at Sony's decision to stop making physical copies of first-party games in 2028. Despite the fervent pushback, Sony has not announced any plans to change course. In related news, Control: Resonant's physical release has been delayed to October 15th. The digital release will drop as scheduled on September 24th. And finally, industry legend Warren Spector has announced his retirement from game development.
