Upon first glance, the Pixel Watch 5 seems to have no change from last year’s model. That’s because the big updates this year are all software-based.Gemini on the wrist has a few improvements and a bulk of the updates are health and fitness features. Google is introducing Breathing Emergency Detection, Blood Pressure Trends and Insulin Resistance Trends. In addition, they’ve added more updates to their fitness tracking features which include AI-generated strength training plans and improvements to GPS maps.
The Pixel Watch 5 also has a slightly faster Qualcomm processor and an itty-bitty battery bump. There’s a $50 price increase from last year, too, because the Pixel Watch 5 isn’t immune to RAMageddon.
