A Lotus Esprit, Honda Accord SiR and GMT400 Dually walk into a garage | RADwood Build Challenge Ep2
Here we go, Episode 2 of Hagerty's first-ever RADwood Build Challenge with @LarryChenPhoto @vin_tra and @stanceworks ! All three are competing to build the raddest car possible to compete for a all-or-nothing grand prize of $100,000 at RADwood on October 24th, 2026. RSVP for your FREE tickets https://www.radwood.com/
While they all had equal purchase and build budgets, they're all choosing very different ways to build what they think will be the winning car.
Mike Burroughs went with a 1989 Lotus Esprit Turbo. A bold choice and potentially a painful one! Vin Anatra went with tried and true Americana in the form of a 1994 GMT400 Dually. Large and in charge but will it fit in his workshop garage... And Larry Chen chose to do things the hardest way possible by buying a 1996 Honda Accord SiR. In Japan. Does it make it stateside this episode? Find out!
Back to the competition though. RADwood Build Challenge is happening in-person at RADwood NorCal on October 24. Who determines the winner? YOU, the people! By voting in-person at the event. It's free to attend, just RSVP for your tickets at https://www.radwood.com/ - $50,000 goes to the builder who wins it all and $50,000 to the charity of their choice.
All three vehicles will also be auctioned off in no-reserve auctions on Hagerty Marketplace (https://www.hagerty.com/marketplace) at the end of the Build Challenge, so if you like what you see, get your wallets ready!
RADwood Build Challenge is presented by Goodyear.
