Write Code That Others People Can Work With
Why doesn't a working Python script get you hired? Because there's a huge gap between code that runs once on your machine and code another developer can open, understand, and build on. Employers hire for the second kind, since a real job is never solo and your code has to stay maintainable long term.
Concretely that means object-oriented programming (classes and inheritance, used when they fit), clean functions with clear inputs and outputs instead of 400-line files, good naming, solid project structure, and breaking things into modules and packages others can follow.
