Syria's army has ordered residents to leave areas of the northern city of Aleppo, on a third day of intense fighting with Kurdish forces.

The government opened evacuation corridors before launching targeted operations against the Syrian Democratic Forces, who it accuses of using Kurdish areas to launch attacks on the military.
The SDF was supposed to merge with the army by the end of 2025, but both sides have accused each other of stalling.
Multiple people have been killed since Tuesday and thousands have been displaced.
