President Trump refuted the Kremlin's accusations that Ukraine targeted a residence of Russian strongman Vladimir Putin, doubting such an attack ever took place.
A day after Trump's meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at Mar-a-Lago, he claimed that Putin told him about the now-dubious accusations, and the US president rebuked Ukraine in response. "I don't believe that strike happened. There is something that happened fairly nearby, but had nothing to do with this house," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday, changing his tune. The CIA had assessed that the alleged attack never took place.
