Getting Started With New KernelCI CLI Tools for Automating Linux Kernel Testing and Validation - Arisu Tachibana, Cybertrust Japan Co., Ltd.
Doing Kernel QA requires resources, reproducibility, different testing architectures and toolchains.
In this presentation I will talk about kci-dev and kci-deploy, two new tools added to the KernelCI organization tools family
Both tools are new command line tools, useful for the KernelCI ecosystem.
Kci-dev can be used for Kernel QA tasks such as checking KernelCI results related to a specific branch, start branch tips of the tree or specific commits builds and retry previously started builds.
Kci-deploy is instead used for locally deploying a KernelCI maestro for development or internal usages that can be interacted by using kci-dev
Having CLI KernelCI tools, makes easier to integrate KernelCI actions and results reading with scripts.
KernelCI CLI tools opens the path for many different possibilities.
For example KernelCI CLI tools can be integrated with AI tools for better KernelCI results analysis or integrated in current kernel development frameworks.
Giving you the power to send actions and better understand results from different boards and build environment.
