As we all know, the Tesla Semi is produced at Giga Nevada and is set to expand production at a new factory nearby. Giga Nevada manufactures drive units, battery packs, and energy products. This facility has been a crucial foundation for Tesla’s growth since it opened and has played a key role in ramping up production of the Model 3 and Model Y. Even today, it remains Tesla’s primary hub for battery components and powertrain systems for vehicles built in the United States. Wrapping up 2026, Tesla’s Giga Nevada factory achieved an impressive milestone by producing its 6 millionth drive unit. Elon Musk also gave credit to the Giga Nevada team, writing, “Congrats on 6M drive units!” in a post on X.

Turning back to the Tesla Semi, long-time Semi supporter Zangler, who has been documenting the construction progress of the vehicle manufacturing facility in Nevada, accidentally captured exclusive drone footage of the Class 8 heavy-duty truck featuring a completely new exterior. After the sighting was posted, Sawyer Merritt listed at least 11 updates to the Tesla Semi:
