On Friday 10 October 2025, stellar guitarist Aynsley Lister and Guitarist magazine put seven genuine, original 1958-1960 Les Paul Standards through their paces live at Gibson Garage London. This video covers the second section of the event, dealing with the predecessor of the 'Burst - the Goldtop, here represented by a stunning sounding '54 example with soapbar P-90s. Join Aynsley, Guitarist Editor-in-Chief Jamie Dickson and former Guitarist Editor Neville Marten as they coax thrilling and iconic sounds from this evocative 'Burst-beater playing and comparing it live on stage with the 1958-1960 Les Paul Standards that were also on stage on the night.
