The Albanese government has introduced a huge revamp of the aged care system. One of its goals is to enable older Australians to stay at home and avoid institutional care.
The success or failure of the system depends on getting a prompt test of what someone needs to remain in their home. Some say they've been left waiting for that assessment for months.
