
Freed British-Egyptian activist apologises over social media posts
The British Egyptian activist Alaa Abdel Fattah has apologised after it emerged that he had made a series of social media posts advocating for "all Zionists" to be killed, as well as calling for police to be murdered.

Abdel Fattah arrived in the UK on Friday, after being freed from jail in Egypt. But Conservative and Reform politicians say the government should look into revoking his British citizenship.
He claimed some of the posts had been "twisted out of their meaning".
