Man Planted 23,000 Trees in 1 Day
You’ve probably seen the video of a man planting trees in a burnt forest and thought it looked like back-breaking work. That’s Antoine Moses, a Canadian tree planter who set a world record by planting 23,000 trees in 24 hours.
He’s been planting since age 17, though it’s only seasonal work, like fruit picking. On average, he plants about 9,000 trees a day, carrying 50–200 at a time before restocking.
Canadian planters earn roughly 13 to 20 cents per tree, so at 15 cents each, Antoine makes around $1,350 a day. It’s tough, demanding work—but he enjoys it and calls it fun.
