Who will be the next Dutch prime minister?

A centre-left party looks likely to emerge as the biggest winner in the Dutch national elections.

The D66 party, led by Rob Jetten, performed well at the expense of Geert Wilders' anti-Islam populists and the openly gay 38-year-old is poised to become prime minister.
His party's rise is all the more remarkable as it won only nine seats in 2023's election.
