Foxey Lady by Jimi Hendrix — Easy Guitar Lesson
"Foxey Lady" is one of those Hendrix tunes that sounds massive but is totally approachable once you break it down. This version is built around the F sharp blues scale, starting with a low root note and using your index finger to mute the strings you don't want ringing. You work through a few octave shapes, climb up the blues scale, then land on some power chords that give it that big, chunky Hendrix feel. Jimi played a lot of variations on this, but this is a clean, easy way to get through the tune and start making it your own.
