Veteran “60 Minutes” correspondent Scott Pelley called CBS leadership as incompetent and inexperienced in an emotional interview after he was fired from the storied broadcast. Pelley alleges editor-in-chief Bari Weiss directed his team to make ICE protestors look more violent, saying, “There was a thumb on the scale for the president’s version of events that I felt was a level of political influence that I have never seen in 37 years at CBS News.” The three remaining correspondents, Lesley Stahl, Bill Whitaker and Jon Wertheim, issued a joint statement saying they’re staying with the program.
