Angry bystanders screamed at federal agents in Evanston, Illinois, on October 31, as they forcefully pinned a protester down during an immigration raid. Evanston Mayor Daniel Biss reportedly opened an investigation into the “violence” used by the Border Patrol agents and another one into a car crash he claimed they “deliberately caused" in the Chicago suburb. In a video he posted to X, the mayor said: “Our message for ICE is simple: Get the hell out of Evanston."
