Golden Globe Race 2026 entrant Gunnar Christensen takes us below deck on the colourful Pompoen.

The yacht is a 1978 Hans Christian 34, which he nicknamed ‘The Mighty Pumpkin’ to avoid confusion with ‘pan pan’. Gunnar explains his storage solutions and sleeping arrangements. Golden Globe Race reporter Viveka Herzum reports.
