
Will junk food advert ban tackle childhood obesity?
A ban on junk food adverts has come into force today, in an effort to tackle childhood obesity.
It means food and drinks high in fat, salt and sugar cannot be advertised on TV before 9pm and at any time online. It applies to some breakfast cereals and sandwiches, as well as to more obviously unhealthy foods like chocolate, pizzas and soft drinks.
