Since 1988, distinguished artist Neil Moore has made his home in the historic Umbrian Borgo of Colle del Marchese, devoted to restoring the remnants of a 13th-century castle.
Today Colle del Marchese is a small village perched on a hill 20 minute drive from the ancient city of Spoleto, and Neil has transformed his medieval tower-house into a warm and inviting family residence. In this video, Neil takes us on a tour of his home and studio, sharing insights into its restoration, before visiting the nearby fortified medieval town of Montefalco to explore the Church of San Francesco and its exquisite frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli.
Neil also leads our 14-day tour of Umbria and southern Tuscan, with three and four-night stays in Spoleto, Perugia, Cortona and Pienza.
