Scoring an Animated TV Series
How do you write the music for a TV series? How do you use live orcchestra in episodic TV? Well composer Guy Michelmore should know - he’s scored hundreds of episodes for people like Marvel Disney BBC ITV NBC and many others. His latest series airs in the UK today - it’s called Badjelly and it’s on ITVX. It’s a thirteen part series, based on a book by Spike Milligan made by New Zealand animation company Mukpuddy in association with UK company Cantilever.
In this video Guy talks you through the process, come behind the scenes at the live orchestral session and then see how a scene from the show was actually scored.
