It’s time for a mega Aston Martin Vantage head-to-head!
We’ve got Mat in the V12 Vantage (released in 2010), and he’s going up against a Vantage GT8 and a Vantage GT4 race car! The question is, which Vantage will come out on top? Let’s take a closer look at the stats.
Starting with the V12 Vantage, it was released in 2010, and it’s powered by a 5.9-litre naturally-aspirated V12 that delivers 517hp and 570Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manually and the car weighs in at 1,680kg. As of today, it’s worth around £80,000.
Up next is the Vantage GT8. It’s packing a 4.7-litre NA V8, and this produces 446hp and 490Nm. It sends this power to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual, and it tips the scales at 1,510kg. As of today, it’s worth £150,000.
Then, finally, we come to the Vantage GT4 race car. It’s powered by the same 4-litre twin-turbo V8 found in the Vantage road car, but the power output is restricted to 476hp and 639Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed auto gearbox, and it’s the lightest car here, at 1,500kg. It has a value of £250,000.
So all three cars are pretty evenly matched, but could the oldest car here snatch a win? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!
