'Don't join the army': Mum of soldier who took own life after assault
"Until real changes are made don't join the army."
That's the message from Leighann McCready, the mum of Jaysley Beck - a teenage army soldier who took her own life in the aftermath of being sexually assaulted by a more senior army officer.
Today former army sergeant major Michael Webber was sentenced to 6 months in prison.
Major General Jon Swift said the Army "have introduced a significant cultural reform programme".
